Ava Ayala is the daughter of Hector Ayala and the current bearer of the "White Tiger" mantle. For many generations, Ava's family have used the White Tiger amulet to guard it from anyone seeking to abuse its mystical powers. Before her father is murdered by Kraven the Hunter, who hunted the former down in search of the amulet, Hector entrusted the amulet to Ava. In order to maintain control over the amulet's powers, Ava becomes very disciplined and hard-working, upholding her family's legacy with the utmost seriousness. At some point in time, Ava is recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. to take part in a program to train the next generation of Avengers.
