Venom is an alien symbiote monster that was created by Doctor Octopus using parts of Spider-Man's DNA. He has the ability to latch onto anyone and take control of their bodies. He is voiced by Matt Lanter.

Venom/Harry Osborn was also the black suited Spider-Man at one point. Harry later transformed into the true form of Venom when rage took over.

Venom is a complete match-up to Spider-Man because he possesses all of his powers, and more. The people Venom possessed were Power Man, Iron Fist, Nova, and lastly, Spider-Man.

His last host was Harry Osborn before being supposedly destroyed by Spider-Man via an "Anti-Venom" chemical serum needle. What actually happened was that Venom went somewhere deep down in Harry. This was revealed in the season finale when the Green Goblin managed to get Venom out by shocking Harry. Venom was defeated once more when Harry managed to shoot out a hand and touch an electrical fiber. Green Goblin then extracted a sample of Venom before leaving.

Goblin later injected Peter Parker, who he did not know was Spider-Man, with the Venom sample which caused him to become Carnage. Harry eventually got the symbiote to bond with him causing him to transform into Venom and no longer believe his father could be saved and attempted to kill him. Peter caused Harry to remove the symbiote and put it in a jar. Goblin managed to retrieve it, but a small piece was left behind that was recovered by S.H.I.E.L.D..

Powers/Abilities

• Possession: Venom can take over anybody and, if they have any, use their powers. Venom can also change the attitude, and voice of the host.
• Enhanced Strength: Because of the symbiote, Venom is very powerful.
• High Jump: Venom can very jump high, but not as high as the Hulk.
• Wall Crawl: Much like Spider-Man, Venom can crawl, and stick to walls.
• Venom Tentacles: Venom can unleash tentacles from his body to attack and pick up objects.
• Tongue: Much like his tentacles, Venom can use his tongue to strangle enemies, capture them, or pick up heavy objects such as a bus.

Trivia

• White Tiger is the only hero of Spider-Man's team that Venom did not possess. This is because Spider-Man sacrificed himself before she could be taken over.
• In the series, Harry Osborn being Venom's host is different than that of the comics, in which Venom's host is Eddie Brock.
