Trivia

  • Although Gwen Stacy has appeared in multiple media platforms, she makes her animated debut as Spider-Gwen in the Ultimate Spider-Man series.[1][3][4]
  • Unlike her comic book counterpart, Spider-Gwen in the Ultimate Spider-Man series was never bitten by a radioactive spider, but instead relays on technology to give her spider-based powers.
  • During the Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors panel at 2018 San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Animation executive Cort Lane announced that Spider-Gwen will officially be renamed as Ghost Spider in the mainstream comics.[5] Additionally, Dove Cameron, Spider-Gwen's voice actress, reprised her role as Gwen Stacy in the 2018 Marvel Rising film under her character's a new superhero identity, a code name she now shares with another character in the Ultimate Spider-Man series.[6][7]
  • Despite being referred to as "Spider-Woman" in the series, Gwen is officially listed as "Spider-Gwen" in the credits.
