Harold "Harry" Osborn is son Norman Osborn. He is best friends with Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson.

In the beginning of the series, Harry remained unaware his father's nefarious dealings with Doctor Octopus, as well as the fact that Peter was Spider-Man. Norman's and Peter's respective secrets put a strain on their relationship with Harry, especially his father, who often neglects Harry. Over time, however, Harry unwittingly became entangled in various dangerous situations resulting from his father and best friend's clashes, causing Harry to be caught in the crossfire. When Harry encountered a sample of the Venom symbiote, he became its first host and used it to become a superhero, referred as the Black Suit Spider-Man by the media, in order to impress his father, though he succumbed to its influence and became Venom.

After discovering Norman's collection of highly-advanced armors, Harry dons the American Son armor to fend off the Vulture' when he attacked Oscorp to assassinate his father, taking the alias Patrioteer. Proven that is capable of operating the armor, Norman reluctantly allowed Harry to keep the armor and granted him permission to attend S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy to learn to become a superhero. Shortly afterwards, however, Harry was forced to on the Anti-Venom as its host and fell into a coma. After reawakening and utilizing the Anti-Venom to destroy the Carnage symbiote, Harry resumed being the Patrioteer.
