Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen are two teenage runaways. Inspired by Spider-Man's superhero career, the pair take on the code names "Cloak" and "Dagger", respectively, and begin fighting supervillains. Cloak and Dagger are recruited by Taskmaster to be members of the Thunderbolts. After being betrayed by Taskmaster, Spider-Man convinces them to join S.H.I.E.L.D. as members of the New Warriors.
